What is PM SVANidhi scheme?
The PM Sunidhi scheme was launched on June 1, 2020 by the ministry of housing and Urban affairs of India. This scheme specially works on providing Street Vendors a livelihood for themselves so that they can resume their livelihood after the Coronavirus lock down. Coronavirus pandemic has affected the life of small street vendors by a huge measure. This scheme targets to help over 50 lakh Street vendors who can avail the working capital loan of Rs.10,000. The beneficiaries can return the loan in One year time period that too in instalments. The interest subsidy is 7% per annum. No penalty will be put on the repayment of the loan.
